Dr. Crum graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Psychological
Studies, obtaining his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with a Neuropsychology
specialization. Dr. Crum interned at the Miami Veteran’s Administration
hospital, where he obtained in depth training on the treatment of combat trauma,
geriatrics, and end of life adjustment. He completed his training with a two
year fellowship at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center/Wien Center for Alzheimer’s
Disease and Memory Disorders where he focused on the state-of-the-art diagnosis
and treatment for memory disorders and related cognitive complaints. At the
Wien Center, Dr. Crum specialized in the detection of the earliest stages of
Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders, as well as the treatment
and rehabilitation of memory, attentional abilities, daily functioning, and
cognitive skills.
Dr. Crum was the program director of the highly acclaimed Nova Youth Counseling
Program, which provided behavioral and neuropsychological evaluation and behavioral
treatment for adolescents who were dually diagnosed with a behavioral disturbance
disorder and a substance use disorder. Therapies were designed to improve the
behavior of the adolescents by improving their self-efficacy and by improving
the relationships with their parents and their families. His practice has focused
on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of attentional, learning, and memory
disorders.
